Are You Drinking Dead Water or Living Water?

Living Energized Water

The Earth is made up of mostly water and so are our bodies. In this lies a crucial key that we should be paying attention to.

There is dead water and living water, also known as energized water. Not all water is the same and not all water is good for you.

Living water is considered water that carries life force energy.

It is believed to have five important characteristics.

~A strong life force charge

~An abundance of vital minerals, like calcium, magnesium and other trace minerals

~Clean and pure, not polluted with chemicals, harmful bacteria or other biological contaminants

~Small clustered water molecules

~High antioxidant properties from high electron availability
Dead water on the other hand, is over filtered or contaminated water. It is depleted of all of the above properties.

Living Water Pioneers

There is much to be learned about water. Study Viktor Schauberger and the recent work of Masaru Emoto and you will learn some fascinating mysteries about water. Distiller Water.

Schauberger (1885-1958) was a man of nature and his close relationship to the forests he loved led him to observe the intriguing nature of water. He studied its movement and other phenomena and learned that water held great life giving properties not acknowledged by the scientific community.

His studies and knowledge of water are still revolutionary today. He created technology whereby lifeless water can be revitalized to "living water".

"They called me crazy. I hope that they are right. It is of no greater import if another fool wanders this earth. But if I am right and science is wrong — then may the Lord God have mercy on mankind." Viktor Schauberger.

Masaru Emoto (1943-present)is presently well known for his experiments with glasses of water that he exposed to emotions, prayer, pictures and written words. The water was then frozen and the crystaline structure was studied and photographed.

His amazing photos show how the crystal structure of the water varied remarkably with each different exposure. For example, a positive exposure like taping the word "love" to a glass of water led to beautiful, symmetrical crystals and a negative exposure like the word "hate" created chaotic and unbalanced crystals.

Mr. Emoto believes the water crystals show "true nature" and are an important look into the mysteries of water.

You can also look to the Bible and learn what is written there about living water.

As in the Book of John, “When the Living Water entered the turbid water, the Living Water lamented and wept.”

Water was laid on this earth to bring forth life, and we are tainting it and making it that which takes life away.

Dead Tainted Water

When my daughter was a baby, I learned about the chemicals put in municipal water supplies, such as chlorine and fluoride and the imbalances this creates in our bodies.

According to the Clinical Toxicology of Commercial Products, fluoride is more poisonous than lead, and just slightly less poisonous than arsenic. Fluoride is used as rat poison.

In the human body, it destroys enzymes. When enzymes are damaged it affects the immune system, digestive system, respiratory system, blood circulation, kidney function, liver function, brain function and thyroid function.

If you start investigating the harms of fluoride, you’ll quickly learn that it does not have the benefits it is touted to have but quite the opposite.

Chlorine in our drinking water is a bad story too.

It is a labeled a pesticide by the EPA. We know chlorine kills living organisms, like when you put fish in chlorinated water. If chlorine kills animals, what is it doing to you?

In studies, chlorine has shown to be carcinogenic. Increased rates of rectal and bladder cancer are linked to long term drinking of chlorinated water. Chlorine is also a hormone disruptor, harms the thyroid, upsets the flora of the digestive system and is linked to miscarriages.

Since our skin is the largest organ of our body, and because it is very absorbent, it is important not to allow these chemicals on our skin either.

As you can see, it is very crucial to pay attention to the water you are using.

Which Water Source is Best?

Trying to figure out which source of water to drink can get quite complicated. There are many types of water filters, purifiers and other water products for sale.

Finding a water system that removes chemicals from the water without stripping out the minerals and one that creates living energy in the water is important and the most beneficial to health. Distiller Water.

In addition to avoiding tap water with chemicals, one must also be careful of softened, distilled, reverse osmosis or other over filtered water. These systems remove too many of the minerals. In turn, this water will leach minerals from your body and possibly leave you in a depleted condition.

As Viktor Schauberger warned, if we don't pay attention to our living water and protect it, then mankind is in great danger.

The History Of The Refrigerator Water Filters

The earliest recorded method of water filtration dates back to 2000 B.C. where hieroglyphics depict methods of boiling water, placing hot metal instruments in water and filtering water through charcoal and sand. These early methods are thought to have been instituted to make water taste better, thus, cleaning it. Water filtration was further developed with the advent of the microscope, which made it possible to see foreign particles and contaminants in water that would have otherwise been considered to be pure and clean. Most notably, the microscope was responsible to identify cholera bacteria in drinking water during a disease outbreak in 19th century London. The outbreak was rampart in all areas except those areas where drinking water was filtered through sand. Chlorine was also discovered to be an effective, chemical disinfectant capable to rid the infectious water of cholera. It was further discovered that the chemical, chlorine, when used in combination with sand filtering, was effective in combating cholera as well the water borne diseases, typhoid and dysentery.

In an effort to achieve drinking water purity, chlorine disinfection and sand filtering became prominent methods of municipal water treatment throughout Europe, and then, the US. These primitive methods of disinfecting and filtering water to achieve purity have been studied and evaluated with the use of technology. Chlorine, despite its history of ridding water of contaminants, is a poison. It has since been found to exhibit side effects that aggravate and induce respiratory complications, such as asthma. The poisonous chemical vaporizes at a faster rate than water, making it dangerously harmful when inhaled, especially during showering. Fluoride has since been added as an additional chemical disinfecting agent, but also has side effects of dental damage and other health complications in young children. Lead and other chemical contaminants and by-products further compromise drinking water during the piping and delivery of treated water.

Business and industry have been instrumental in the disposal of waste materials into our fresh water supply sources. This inhabitation has directly contaminated the water supply and also upset the balance of water flow and creation established by nature. The US Clean Water Act, legislated in 1972, was intended to restore the physical, chemical and biological balance of water that had been disturbed by contamination. The Act specified that all natural water supplies would, at least, be safe for fishing and swimming by 1985. This specification led to the development of some form of water filtration and disinfection in every US city as well as advanced technological innovations in the filtering of water used in industry. Even so, the severity of past and continued damage has left more than 1/3 of all water supplies still polluted with contaminants.

In an effort to reduce the contaminants in drinking water and also to comply with national efforts to make drinking water safe, water-filtering systems have been developed to filter water within individual homes. Systems exist to filter incoming water for the entire house and also systems are designed to filter water, inline, at various points of water distribution within the house, such as at faucets and refrigerators or in water pitchers. The US based company, Omnipure Filter Company, credits its self with developing the first small, disposable, inline water filter in the world. The Omnipure CL Series of water filters, developed in 1970, were carbon-based, inline filtering systems designed for water coolers and ice machines. This benchmark water filtering system used granular activated carbon (GAC) to create cost effective methods of filtering water inline. Advances in the functionality, using the same basic design, have since led to the development of whole-house filters, faucet filters, countertop filters, pitcher filters, refrigerator filters and portable filters for camping.

In 1996, KX Industries developed and supplied the first refrigerator water filter for ice cube and cold water dispensing. KXI is credited with developing the initial end of tap filter for the Proctor and Gamble/PUR and the Clorox/Brita water filters. The new technology has been adopted and revised to suit a number of refrigerator models, creating a $200 million refrigerator water filter market.

Today, Filters Fast LLC, the leading online retailer of refrigerator water filters, carries filters for every major brand of refrigerators tht filter out anything from Chlorine to Lead and pesticides. They recommend that your filter be changed at least every 6 months to keep your water at it's best quality.

Water

Water is essential part of our life and one cannot imagine any vital creation without it.
Water is the most dominant feature of our planet and it covers around 71% of the surface. Water is denser than ice. The Britannica defines the word density as “Mass of unit volume of a material substance expressed as kilogram per cubic meter in S.I. units”. Water is one of the very few substances, which are actually denser in the liquid state than in the solid form. This large volume of water, in ice form results in the phenomenon ice floating on the surface of water.
When ice melts some of the Hydrogen Bonds are broken and molecules pack more closely together so that water has a higher density. This breaking down process is not complete until a temperature of 4 Degree Celsius is reached at which water has the maximum density. On this basis, anomalous behaviour of water can be explained, that is, water when heated from 0 to 4 Degree Celsius contracts and when cooled from 4 to 0 Degrees Celsius, water expands (contrary to the behaviour of other liquids).
The water molecule is bonded by Covalent Bonds. However the molecules in water have Hydrogen Bonding as Inter Molecular forces of Attraction, which are the result of Ionic Character, and in turn depend upon Electro-negativity. Thus Electrostatic forces of Attraction also act on these molecules and hence these molecules are said to be ‘Polar Molecules’. The presence of Hydrogen Bonding greatly affects the general properties of water. It is due to Hydrogen Bonding that the physical properties of water such as Viscosity (internal resistence to the flow of the liquid) and Surface Tension exist. Stronger the Hydrogen Bonding, higher would be the viscosity and surface tension. The high boiling point of water as compared to other similar liquids is also due to Hydrogen Bonding.

Do you have water filter in your home?

I am starting my article with this question as you may not know the consequences of having impure water. Let me begin with by saying that human body is more than 70% water. Further you will be quite surprised to know that our brain is more than 80% water and our liver is whooping 96% water. Well… these data will make you sit down and ponder over the importance of pure water in our life.

In the contemporary world, water pollution is threatening the health of the world. There are few pure water sources left in the world and this ground reality has sent alarm signals to many governments in those countries where water population has grown into a scourging problem. Discharge of industrial wastes over the years into the river water is the root cause of this menacing problem. Governments across the world are taking drastic steps in improving the quality of water but treatment of water by chlorine is not considered good enough as intake of chlorine can cause cancers, birth defects and other diseases. Thousands of people are losing lives because of this dreadful water pollution. Millions of people are undergoing treatment for water related diseases across the world.

This alarming situation has seen many companies coming up with solutions to counter this scourging problem. Many water filter companies have launched top-class water filter products in the market and these products have made its presence felt in the homes of many people. Aquasana water filters have made its name in countries like U.S.A and other countries. It has introduced in the market an array of products in water purification segment. These products are of highest quality and have design aesthetics for individual customs. Aquasana water filters reduce chlorine, synthetic chemicals, heavy metals and cysts, while retaining the great taste of natural mineral components. Water filters like premium under counter filters, shower water filters, counter top water filters, shower water filters, whole house water filters, replacement water filters are selling like hot cakes in the market. The success of these products can be attributed to the fact that its performance is outstanding and in the process the company has left its rivals far behind. Aquasana is well known for its award winning services and all products come with lifetime warranty.

Hot Water Boilers

A hot water boiler is an enclosed container that allows heat to be transmitted into water till the time it becomes heated water. The hot water is then effectively utilized for transferring the heat to where it is needed. A hot water boiler is filled with water, unlike the steam boiler.

However, like the steam boiler, hot water boilers have many add-ons to function effectively. The presence of aquastat serves a two-fold objective. It monitors the temperature in which the boiler runs, and offers a low-voltage transformer and relay to control the circulator.

A majority of commercial buildings, manufacturers and businesses employ hot water boilers. Water is heated to dispersing temperatures, characteristically 140-180ºF, and generally put back about 20ºF lower.

These structures are called "closed loop," with nominal fresh water make-up. Hot water boilers are favored since they generally do not call for operators or complex water chemistry. As they function at lower temperatures, hot water boilers can perform at greater fuel-conversion efficiencies than steam boilers.

Some of the characteristic features of a hot water boiler include low water fuel cutoff and a safety valve. Low water fuel cutoff dries up the supply of fuel to the burner during low water conditions in the boiler. The low water fuel cut ff is positioned 2" to 6" beneath the boiler water level.

Low water fuel discontinues operations using an electric probe or a float sensor. When the sensor displays a low water state, a contact to the main burner control circuit unlocks and blocks the fuel.

Low water fuel cutoffs should be checked regularly based on usage or necessities. If a low water condition is not correctly gauged there are chances for the boiler to overheat. Under these circumstances boilers are likely to be damaged for good. Safety valves are the most significant devices on a boiler. They unbolt to vent pressure that climbs over the maximum boiler operating pressure.

New Free Water Tank Directory Offering Free Water Tank Information and Water Tank Resources

Rain and Water tanks now offers free listings for all water tank and water tank related products from around the world in one easy to use website.

Water tank listings can be found for many countries throughout the world including the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

The water tank listings displayed offers free information for any person or company who is looking for a water tank supplier, water tank manufacturer or a water tank distributor in their local area.

With only 3% of the worlds entire water reserves fresh water, the use of a water tank is a great way the average person can make a difference.

As climate change becomes an ever increasing concern for people around the world, the water tank offers a small way of helping out the struggling planet by catching rain water run off for use at a later date.

Catching rain water with a water tank can help the planet and climate dramatically, as this water can then be used around the home or business to help reduce its environmental foot print.

One Water Tank Can Make a Difference

Rain water run off collected by a water tank can be used in many ways and applications around the home, from watering the garden and lawn, to being plumbed into the household water system for use in showers, toilets and washing machines.

Water collected by a water tank can also be used in some cases as a potable(drinkable) water source, and as the planet becomes drier and hotter this practice is becoming more and more common.

With water tank technology and innovation exploding as the demand for water tanks increases rapidly, there are now water tank models available which are manufactured from all sorts of materials and compounds.

Water tanks can now be found from such materials as a plastic water tank, steel water tank, poly water tank, rubber water tank bladder, above ground water tank and a specially designed water tank for under the ground.

The common size of water tank for the home today is around the 2,500-5,000 Lt range, however there are many sizes of both smaller and larger water tanks available.

As the internet becomes a more common shopping place for many people around the world, water tank sales processed online with such things as free delivery and installation attached are now common practice.

Rain and Water Tanks also offer a free listing for any water saving product, device or instrument, for both home and industrial use.

The Water Tank Rebate Provides Incentive to Install a Water Tank

As the pressure on water resources continues to increase around the globe, many countries, states and councils are adopting the use of financial incentives to try and get water tanks installed in homes and business.

The water tank rebate is a common practice in many states in Australia, as it struggles with serve drought conditions and dwindling rain fall in most areas.

The Australian system works by giving a water tank rebate to customers for the installation of a water tank, which increases as the size of the water tank increases.

An example of this would be that the water tank rebate would be higher for the installation of a 10,000 Lt, versus the installation of a 5,000 Lt water tank.

The state of Colorado in the USA also offers rebates for the installation of low flow toilets and front loading washing machines which use a lot less water and energy.

If more rain water is collected around the home with the use of a water tank, then demand on local governments to supply clean drinking water is reduced, as collected rain water is used to water gardens and flush toilets instead of precious quality drinking water.

The humble water tank is one way the average person can make a real difference in todays society and help reduce the impacts of climate change

Bottled Water Coolers

A bottled water cooler is an independent device that can be used to dispense water from removable 4- to 5-gallon plastic bottles usually positioned on top of the unit. Bottle coolers can be cold units that can dispense only cold water, hot and cold units that can dispense both hot and cold water, and a latest variety of units that can dispense hot and cold water as well as water at room temperature.

Studies indicate that water coolers consume about 4 billion kWh/year and produce an annual pollution roughly equivalent to the emissions of over 700,000 cars. However, energy savings of roughly 60–70 percent can be gained by fitting units with insulations or a timer. This will ensure that the power is cut off for the cooling and heating units during periods of low demand. This provides a lot of benefit to the homeowners, bottled water vendors, and building owners.

Water cooler manufacturers have to determine the performance of their own products. Bottled water coolers are replacing the regular bottles mostly for safety reasons. The other reasons are that this improves the quality of the drinking water as well as frees up needed storage space. Also, these new water coolers are practically maintenance-free.

Water coolers are usually available in three kinds, the bottle type water coolers, fountain type water coolers, and the bottle less water coolers. The company will install the water coolers in about 15 to 45 minutes. The filters need to be serviced once in six months.

Many customers prefer the filtered coolers to the bottled coolers. This could be because of cost saving, as the cost of having the bottles delivered to the customer is cut down. Also the storage space would be freed and the additional cost of the stock, delivery and changing of these bottles would not be a problem anymore. The other reasons are the convenience and improved water quality since the filtered coolers are of a sealed system, which slows the growth of the microorganisms.

Is It Really Necessary To Buy Bottled Water?

Copyright 2006 Debt Management Credit Counseling Corp.

For years people have been drinking the water that flows out of the tap. And how often did people get sick from drinking tap water that city municipalities regulate? Not too often. Yet Americans spent some $10 billion on bottled water last year. Is it really worth paying a dollar for a bottle of water out of the soda machine rather than filling up a cup at the water fountain?

According to an article by Gregory Karp of the Allentown Morning Call featured on Sun-Sentinel.com, the dirty secret about clean water is that regulation of bottled water is weaker than regulation of tap water. These include leading brands as Coke’s Dasani and Pepsi’s Aquafina. Tap water can actually be more beneficial because most cities require the water to contain fluoride to prevent tooth decay in its citizens. Bottled water often does not contain fluoride according to a report from the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The bottled-water industry does not come out and advertise that their water is much safer to drink than tap water but they do show images of young healthy people exercising, mountain glaciers, crystal clear streams and water falls. These advertisements are intended on making consumers think that the bottled water is the way to go. But, consumers need to consider that the United States has one of the cleanest drinking-water supplies in the world, stated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

If you are still thinking twice on drinking water out of the tap, another alternative is to purchase a water filtration system to attach on the end of the faucet. Others are containers that filter the water in them. Among the best known brands are PUR and Brita. By purchasing these products may seem unreasonable but in the long run you will definitely save. According to Brita, its high-end faucet filter provides water for 18 cents a gallon. That is a lot cheaper than paying a dollar for a 12 ounce bottle.

Besides the cost of bottled water, the hassle of having to stop at a convenient store and wait in line to buy a bottle of water can be annoying. As you can see, you can save a lot of money by not buying bottled water but it does come in handy in certain situations when tap water does not. In times of natural disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes where the water supply to your home are cut off or polluted, it is smart to stock up on a few cases of bottled water.

Fun Tip: Put a three quarter full bottle of water in the freezer and let it freeze. When you are going out for the day, take out the bottle and add water to it and you will refreshing ice water for the rest of the day.

Home Water Filters

Most families are concerned not only with what they drink but also if the water they drink is safe to drink. Because of this, home water filters continue to gain popularity in homes across the country. Safety is one concern, but there is another thing that home water filters address, and that is the taste. Usually water has bad taste because of contaminants, and that is why it is important to test your water. If indeed there are contaminants, it is a must that you have home water filters.

There are various home water filters that can be purchased such as whole house filters, under sink filters, faucet-mounted filters, canister filters and refrigerator filters. The type of home water filter you chose will depend on some factors such as your household space, lifestyle and ownership of your home.

Whole house water filters are used to remove contaminants from all the water entering your home. These are set up through the main water line and remove particles such as rust and sediment.

Just like the whole house water filters, the under sink water filters are also designed to remove different contaminants. But there are under sink filters that have additional cartridges in order to remove odors and tastes problems.

Another type is the faucet-mounted filter. As the name implies, it is used to filter the water that comes out of the faucet where it is installed. No mounting is required since you can easily screw this onto the faucet.

If the faucet-mounted filter is already simple, there is one much simpler than that -- the canister filter. This is basically a pitcher with a filtration system in the lid -- when your pour water, it goes through the filter before it goes to the reserve tank.

Aside from all these, one of the most popular types of home water filters is the refrigerator filter. You can install this inside your refrigerator. It is very convenient since it utilizes less space and keeps the drinking water cool. This type of filter correlates with the model of the refrigerator that you have.

These are the different options that you have for home water filters. Whatever home water filter you choose, make sure that you base it on your price range, goals and your type of living space.

The Hidden Benefit Of Water Gardens

When homeowners decide to install a water garden on their property, they often expect a beautiful area where they can relax in peaceful contemplation. However, once you've had a water garden in your yard for a few weeks, you will start to notice that you are not the only one who is enjoying the beauty of your new landscaping feature. A water garden can be an attractive draw for all kinds of wildlife. When you have a water garden, you are rolling out the red carpet for some of nature's most beautiful creatures from delicate butterflies to quirky tree frogs in bright, eye-catching colors. A water garden brings the unique wildlife of your region out of the shadows so that you can get to know them, and you just might be surprised at what you discover.

Some of the Earth's most beautiful insects are likely to be drawn to your water garden. Many water garden owners are delighted to start each day by discovering a few energetic dragonflies hovering over the water's surface, or skimming through the air with their bright blue and green bodies flashing in the sun. Dragonflies lay their eggs in water, which makes them common visitors to water ponds. In addition to dragonflies, you are likely to see a host of butterflies who will likely be drawn to your water garden in order to drink. The cool, clean moving water of your tended water garden looks very attractive to these tiny creatures who are constantly in search of a few droplets of crisp water to sip on.

In addition to creatures that are lovely to look at, you will also notice that your water garden draws animals who create an enchanting live soundscape. Birds of all shapes and sizes will want to spend time visiting your water garden where they can bathe and drink to their hearts' content. This will leave your yard filled with the pleasant, beautiful tones of all manner of bird song. At night, when the birds have flown off to sleep in safer areas, your water garden will likely play host to a bevy of frogs that will croak you a lullaby in deep bass tones.

One of the most exciting things about the fact that a water garden attracts wildlife of all shapes and sizes is that getting up close and personal with all of these types of animals enables you to observe them at all stages of life. A water garden often provides you with an opportunity to see frogs develop from tadpoles, and to watch different kinds of butterflies come and go with the seasons. Chances are, if you spend enough time watching the different visitors to your water garden, you are bound to learn a few things about nature that you never knew, and that is the very best kind of surprise.

Choosing The Right Water Heater For You

From the word itself, it is perfectly understandable that the water heater warms or heats water. We cannot deny the fact that we need hot water. We need it for our coffee and soups. We need hot water for our baths (we don’t want to freeze to death with cold water). We need it to wash our clothes in, to clean our cars with and to warm our pools. We need it for a relaxing soak in the tub after a hard day at work. Truly, there are many things that require the use of hot water and the easiest way to have hot water is by utilizing water heaters.

The market right now offers different types and kinds of water heater to suit everyone’s needs. Currently there are four types and you can choose one that you think would best suit your requirements and your budget.

One that is gaining popularity is the solar water heater. The solar water heater depends on the sun’s power to heat up your water. Your geographical location is important to consider when buying this type of water heater. It is important that you get amply supply of sunlight to be able to maximize the use of your heater. If you live in a place with a warm weather this would really come in handy. These don’t come at a cheap price though. If you are considering a long term investment, one that could definitely save you on costs, a solar water heater would be a good option for after all; the sun’s power is absolutely free. You just need a back-up water heater though in case you will be experiencing times when there is no sun.

I suppose the oldest method of heating water would be utilizing the stove but nowadays you can find stoves with built in water jackets. If your stove is on most of the time, you can have free hot water with this. This is also an efficient water heater.

Most people utilize electric water heaters as a back-up. To it may be a bit expensive to use because of the electrical costs associated with it, it can easily provide you with heated water in as short as 15 minutes.

The last type is the gas heater. This serves the dual purpose of not only heating up your home but also heating up water as well. This option tends to be cheaper than the electric type especially if you have a piped supply of gas.

Check For Leaks - Conserve Water And Save Money

In your own household, the key to maintenance of electronic and water supply is in your hands. Water leaks and damages could cause you major financial and supply losses. In order to check water leaks on your house, you must know basic water repairs. Be aware of the causes of leaks. There are several reasons why water leaks occur:

1. Your Pipelines

Incorrectly made pipelines or insufficient support could lead to water leaks. Excess numbers of pipelines could also be a reason because the base may not be able to handle the pipe's weight. Second, be concerned about the materials of your pipelines. When buying these materials, make sure to purchase the appropriate supplies without defects because failing to do so could lead your pipe to rust. Lastly, make sure not to use equipment that may harm your pipelines. Too much pressure caused by hammers could bring about water leaks. Depending on your geographic location, you may want to make special precautions for your pipes to ensure they can withstand very cold temperatures such that, during the winter months, water does not freeze within the pipes and expands, causing pipes to burst.

2. Learn How To Read Your Water Meter

Being able to use this could very well be the absoloute easiest way to detect leaks on your own. Read your water meter before and after a two-hour period when no water is being used. If the meter does not read exactly the same, there is a water leak! This could be something as simple as a leaky bathtub, or as horrendous as a leak inside a pipe deep within one of your walls, causing untold damage to your home.

3. Leak Detection Tips

In detecting water leaks, make sure that all of your appliances inside your house that make use of water are turned off. Then inspect the status of the meter dial and wait for 20 minutes. If the dials didn't shift, you have a home with water pipes that are stable. But if the dials shift, check all of your appliances that makes of use water. If all are turned off, there might be a leak in your underground pipes. The reading on your meter should be greater than your bill from the time when you have used your water since the meter was read.

4. The Lawn Method

Another method to check water leaks is by opening lawn water. If you have a hose, or a water sprinkler, open it and start to watch the water meter's movement for a minute. The whole rotation of the meter hand stands for 7.5 gallons of water. Add up the number of rotation the hand meter completes for each minute and multiple it by 7.5 to know how much gallons of water you consume every minute, every hour, every day and every week. If you know how much water you use up, you will know whether you are paying the correct bills or not. If your bills exceed the computation, you may be having water leakages.

5. Statistics

The average water used in each household is 60 to 200 gallons per person for a day. You will be surprised on how much water you consume every day. By being aware of these causes of water leaks and how to detect them, you will conserve water everyday.

- Remember that every drop of water counts
- Bathrooms take up almost 70% of water used
- Ensure all pipes and faucets are leak-free

6. Food Coloring Technique

Make it a routine to check toilet tanks. By adding a small amount of food color, you will be able to know if the toilet is leaking. Add food color to the tank. After 20 minutes or so, if the color appeared on the tank, it may be leaking. Try to replace the parts as soon as possible to prevent rust. Conserve water by being aware of water leaks. Learn to save water by checking your own pipes. It will benefit your financial needs. It will benefit your family's safety. And it will benefit the people of the future who would be able to make use of the wonders of water.

Water Filters and Purifiers – What are the health benefits?

Water filters, purifiers and water filtration systems convert ordinary tap water into perfectly safe drinking water. They remove impurities and contaminants by means of a fine physical barrier or a chemical process.

Health benefits of a water filter:

A water filter or water purifier is very beneficial for healthy living. Ordinary water contains numerous contaminants including bacteria, algae, viruses, fungi, minerals, and man-made chemical pollutants that cannot be seen with the naked eye. These contaminants not only cause the water to taste bad, but are also very harmful to your health.

A water filter kills all of these organisms and filters out the contaminants to make the water fit for drinking. Thus water filters save us from many dangerous bacterial and viral diseases that spread due to the contamination of water.

The working technique of water filters is based on sieving, ion exchanges and other processes. A water filter can eliminate particles much smaller than the holes through which the water passes.

Alkaline water ionizers provide alkaline water. The following are the health benefits of alkaline water:

• Promotes optimal physical performance.
• Protects DNA from oxidative damage.
• Alleviates blood sugar levels in diabetic patients.
• Betters liver function exams in hepatic disorders.
• Betters gastro duodenal ulcer and prevents recurrences.
• Betters allergic disorders such as asthma, urticaria, rhinites and atopic dermatitis.
• Betters hypertension and hypotension.
• Betters serum bilirubin levels in newborn babies.
• Impressively suppressed the growth of cancer cells transplanted into mice, demonstrating their anti-cancer effects.

The following are acid water health benefits:

• Electrolyzed oxidizing water inactivates Escherichia coli and Listeria on plastic kitchen cutting boards.
• It reduces bacterial load of treated alfalfa sprouts between 91.1% and 99.8%.
• It can reduce food borne pathogens.
• It is a useful disinfectant for hospital infections.

Water filters and purifiers can be purchased at water filter stores and online. The Pur water filter and Brita water filter are the two well-known brands of water filters.

Water, water everywhere, now what drop dare I drink?

Water, or "aqua vitae" is literally the "Water of Life". All known life forms require water to live. Our bodies are made up of approx. 70% of water. Water is involved in every body process, including digestion, absorption, circulation and excretion. Water is the natural way we receive nutrients and minerals. The old adage of 8 glasses of water every day is an absolute minimum requirement for healthy bodies.

City water, well water, spring water, rain water, bottled water? So many kinds of water, but for today we are going to address the many new brands of bottled water on the market. Is bottled water better than natural, are there labeling restrictions, why is it better than regular tap water? Is bottled water better than tap water? Well in most areas this proves to be true. You can not be sure what is in your tap water unless you have it tested occasionally. Regardless of the source, lake, rain etc tap water can contain undesirable substances such as fertilizers, asbestos, cyanides, herbicides, pesticides and industrial chemicals. They can leach into the water supply from the ground or from your pipes. Even plastic pipes can produce impurities and contamination.

So, you decide the safest course is to use bottled water. I mean it comes in a bottle, it must be pure, Right? Wrong! Bottled water comes in many kinds, and must be clearly labled. It is usually classified as to its source type, spring, spa, glacier, public water supply etc. There can be a lot of confusion and overlapping in these labels, there are no rules in place to govern appropriate labeling, so some claims may be misleading or incorrect.

Mineral water is natural spring water. The word natural on the bottle only means that the mineral content of the water has not been altered from its original state. Make sure you check that bottles labeled Natural spring water list the water source on the bottle. In addition to containing minerals, the water must flow freely from its source, it cannot be pumped or forced from the ground and must be bottled directly at the source. You need to be aware of the minerals in the water you choose to drink. If you drink mineral water for therapeutic reasons, and the water you drink contains minerals your system doesn't require, you could be doing yourself more harm than good.

Sparking Water is water that has been carbonated. Watch for additives such as fructose and other sweeteners. Some are so high in sugar content they are comparative to drinking soda pop. If the bottled water is labeled "naturally sparkling water, the source of the carbonationis from the same source as the water. If the bottled water is labeled "Carbonated natural water, the source of the carbonation is added to the water. People with intestinal disorders or ulcers should avoid drinking carbonated water as it may irritate the gastrointestinal tract.

Then we have Distilled water. This bottled water comes from the condensation of the steam after the water is boiled. This is thought to be the safest type of water to drink. Most of the bacteria, viruses, chemicals, minerals and pollutants are left behind. Distilled water can be somewhat tasteless, but you can add flavor by adding raw apple cider vinegar (from a health food store). One or two tbsp per gallon. Lemon juice is another excellent addition. You can add back the minerals lost in the distilling process by adding mineral drops. Two tbsps to every 5 imperial gallons.

So as you can see, finding safe, healthy water to drink is no longer a given. Since you must have water, and if you use tap water, have it checked regularly to ensure no contaminants are present. Try one of the new filtration/purifiers that fit on your tap, or filter in a container. Don't take it for granted that if its in a bottle the water must be good for you. Always check the labels and know the label definitions.

How Does A Tankless Water Heater Work?

Consider this scenario: You come home after a hard day’s work, and the only thing on your mind is taking a nice, long, hot shower. You hop in, and start to enjoy the hot water splashing down upon you. However, just a few minutes into your escape from the day, you notice the water temperature turning lukewarm. Another minute later, it is bordering on chilly. Before you know it, your nice hot shower has turned into a freezing torture test. How can this happen? Well, more than likely the problem can be traced to an underachieving storage tank water heater. For this reason (and others), more and more people are starting to discover the benefits of switching over to a tankless water heater. How does a tankless water heater work? In this article, we’ll give you the skinny on this amazing system.

Before we examine the tankless water heater, let’s take a closer look at its counterpart. A storage tank water heater keeps a certain level of water hot 24 hours a day, which can lead to some negative results. First, this constant energy use leads to higher electricity bills and unnecessary wear on the water tank. In addition, when the hot water supply gets used (as in the example above), the water tank needs a standard amount of time (also known as recovery time) to heat the water back up again. This can often be frustrating, especially in larger family homes where the battle for hot water can be “heated”.

That leads us to tankless water heaters. These systems are designed to heat water as you need it, which means that everyone in your family will be able to use hot water anytime on demand. How is this possible? Well, whenever somebody turns on the hot water faucet, the tankless water heater springs into action. Cold water flows into the heater and is instantly heated by copper and brass water ways known as exchangers. The result is endless hot water in a matter of seconds! The hot water temperature is set by you and will always remain the same, which should eliminate any incidences of burns or scalding water. When the members of your family are finished using the hot water, the tankless water heater will shut down until it is needed again. As you can see, this system is far more efficient than standard storage tank water heaters.

Tankless water heaters also last longer than storage tank water heaters. Aside from being more space effective (most units are a quarter of the size of conventional heaters), tankless water heaters also provide unobstructed heat transfer. Why is this? Because water is not actually stored in a tankless heater, mineral build-up does not occur. This enables a tankless water heater to perform at the highest level for upwards of 20 years or more.

Now that you have a better idea about how a tankless water heater works, why not consider replacing your outdated storage tank with a system of your own? You will save energy, space, and money, and best of all you and your family will always be guaranteed hot water any time it is needed.

Well, more than l...

10 Reasons Why We Need To Clean Water

If your clean water dilemma is how to clean water marks from glass vases, you’re just touching the tip of this iceberg. If your water is clean, should it leave water marks on glass vases?

SECRET: You can clean water marks from glass vases. I don’t guarantee this will work on every vase, and urge you to use these ideas at your own risk, but here they are. Mix equal parts of cold tea with vinegar, and dissolve a denture cleaner tablet in the mixture. Or fill the vase with water and drop in 2 Alka Seltzer tablets. Soak your vase overnight in either solution, rinse, and dry.

Ten Reasons Why We Need to Clean Water

1. Clean water is vital to the human body.

The human body is 50 to 70 per cent water, and needs a regular supply of clean water to maintain health. We need clean drinking water. We need clean water for cooking and making beverages. Healthy eating and clean water go hand in hand. We must work to clean water worldwide in order to maintain sufficient sources to supply this need.

2. Clean water is vital to our food.

If we fail to clean water and keep it clean, we will be shut up to a diet of contaminated food. Not only fish, but other meats, fruits, and vegetables will deliver contamination to us. If we want healthful, clean fish to leap forth from rivers, streams, and oceans, we will have to clean water. If we want healthful, organic produce, we will have to clean water used to irrigate produce.

3. Clean water is vital to human health.

Clean drinking water is vital to health, yet the UN and the World Health Organization (WHO) report that 1.1 billion people around the globe lack access to clean drinking water. The health consequences are devastating. The UN attributes 2.2 million deaths annually to poor water and sanitation. If we clean water, provide better sanitation, and teach people how to keep water clean, future generations can enjoy longer and healthier lives.

4. Clean water is essential for water sports.

A swimmer in clean water is safe from illnesses and diseases produced by contaminated and toxic water. A surfer does not have to fear swallowing water in a wipe out. Boaters and others who use our water for recreation can relax without concern about pollutants. Yet, 27 years after the passage of the 1972 Clean Water Act, 40% of our rivers, lakes, and estuaries were still too polluted for safe swimming and similar water sports.

5. Clean water is essential for fish and other wildlife species.

As humans, we must consider the needs of fish, whales, water fowl, and other wildlife species that live in water. We must clean water when there are oil spills, of course, but we must also work to clean water flowing into our oceans, lakes, rivers, and streams. We must clean water for wildlife that does not live in the water, but depends on clean water for health and cleanliness.

6. We need to clean water to cut down on our carbon footprint.

The emissions involved in producing bottled water are astounding. Pablo Päster, Sustainability Engineer and MBA, did a thorough and exhaustive study of the cost of bringing a single liter of Fiji Water to America. He found that bottlers use nearly seven times as much water to bottle it than you actually drink. The total amount of water used to produce and deliver one bottle of imported water is 6.74 kg! In the process of making the bottle, getting water into the bottle, and delivering it to you, 250g of GHG emissions were released.

7. We need to clean water to cut down on refuse.

Each plastic drinking-water bottle takes hundreds of years to biodegrade in a landfill. Many plastic drinking-water bottles litter the countryside. Some will be recycled, but the recycling process is said to pollute the environment with toxic carcinogens. If we clean water so that it is truly free of contaminants, additives, bacteria, and virus, people are less likely to rely on bottled water.

8. Clean rain and snow are not givens.

Rain is just one step in the water cycle. Pure rain does not automatically fall through the universe, filtered by the atmosphere and delivered from pure clouds. Neither does pure snow. The rain, snow, and other precipitation we receive find their way into the sky from bodies of water on earth. If we fail to clean water on earth, we will have increasingly polluted precipitation. Polluted precipitation is harmful to everyone and everything on which it falls.

9. We need clean water for all-around cleanliness.

Whether it’s your laundry in the Maytag washer, your carpet beneath the cleaning machine, or your body under the shower, clean water is necessary for all-around cleanliness. From early preschool years onward, children are taught proper hygiene – and it depends on clean water.

10. The consequences of inadequate access to clean water are too great.

Many have expressed growing concern that water wars are more likely in the future than current battles for oil. Where access to clean water is the very essence of life, “no water” may mean “no peace.” A failure to clean water now may result in global warfare for future generations.

You may be able to add more reasons. You may substitute different reasons, but the bottom line is still the same. We need to clean water.

It is wiser, and less costly, to keep water clean than to try to clean water that has become dirty and polluted. Will we develop such wisdom for the remaining clean water we have?

Water filters: Life is full of vibrant colors

Life is a beautiful canvas with lots of vibrant colors on it. Life is full of surprises and the best part is that it welcomes man at different locations and time. Life mesmerizes you and sometimes brings tears in your eyes. Life is indeed precious and beautiful. As a man you want to immerse yourself in the beauty of life. But to enjoy all the pleasures of life, it is important for you to remain healthy all the time. And the sad part is that with water pollution, it is difficult to celebrate life.

Water is very important for our survival. Our body can live without water only for few days. In fact our body is more than 70% water. Our brain is 74% water and our liver is whopping 90% water. The most surprising thing is that our cell contains 90% water. Water moves nutrients, hormones, antibodies and oxygen through the blood stream and lymphatic system. Water helps in digestion and reducing weight. This really shows the importance of water in our well-being. But impure water is affecting the vitality of man; it is shaking the base of man.

Water pollution is the most menacing problem the world is facing. Industrial pollution has taken its toll. Discharge of industrial wastes into the rivers and other sources of water have adversely affected the quality of water. Impure water is taking the lives of thousands of people and millions of people are spending their precious money to cure themselves from water-borne diseases. Out of the total water, we have only 1% as potable water. But man’s greed is destroying this precious thing.

The ghost of water pollution has created fear in the minds of many people. Many Governments have taken adequate measures to purify impure water so that people can have good quality drinking water. Acne Treatments - Acne Water Treatment

We humans are gifted with healing properties of the nature. Though, hardly do we know about them. There is a whole branch of naturopathy that advocates use of water, air, and sunshine to treat the diseases.

Yes, you can cure acne with water. WATER- that is available to you in abundance is the nature's gift to you to treat your maladies like acne.

So, let's get set to the mission "AcneTalks: Be Acne Free" with water today.

Water, the natural by-product, works both internally and externally to treat your acne. To get rid of acne forever, you simply need to include these 2 new aspects in your life.

Internal Treatment Of Acne With Water
About 70% of your body is made of water. And your skin is not an exception to this. It needs a lot of water which is beneficial for making cells healthier. This is particularly more relevant to the external area of your skin, which is exposed to dust and harmful substances.

The dust and other pollutants dehydrate the skin cells. When cells are dehydrated, they have reduced capability of functioning, rebuilding and healing, or removing waste efficiently.

Thus you need to consume a lot of water to replenish your skin. The consumption of water greatly enhances the cells' ability to function properly and reduce acne blemishes. But how much water is enough for your skin? For a healthy person, 1 gallon or 3.8 liters of water intake everyday is sufficient to establish healthy skin. Yes! It is that simple to keep acne away!

External Treatment Of Acne With Water
Water is extensively used for cleansing purposes and this is perhaps the most frequent use of water known to us. Still I put a question to you- do you clean your acne-affected area sufficiently? Or, do you avoid cleaning the acne affected area in the fear of getting more acne?

If YES is the answer to the second question, I am afraid to say you have done a blunder up till now and have made your skin's condition even worse.

You should clean your acne affected area three times a day with pure running water to detoxify it. This will help you get rid of the infection which may have occurred due to touching or pricking the acne bumps. You can also use purified warm water and mix some salt in it to cleanse your face or other affected area and remove excess oil and dirt from it. It reduces the secretion of oil and avoids clogged pores and acne breakouts.

Washing your skin 2-3 times serves the purpose of cleansing for most of your acne prone skin. If you want to make use of synthetic products like soaps and face wash then you need to use only those products that are made for acne prone skin.

And if you read the other article, you know which face wash and soaps you can use for better results.

All in all, water is indispensable element for cleaning and nourishing your skin. Your body has got inherited power to dispel negative energies and maintain a good health. And with water, you will only trigger this natural mechanism in you to action.

Try to treat acne ridden skin with water and the results are sure to turn on your side. All the best!

Good Water With Water Purifier

Many developing and under developed countries in Asia and Africa do not have pure, potable and safe drinking water. Bacteria and virus cause serious diseases like typhoid, polio, gastro enteritis to name a few. It is a matter of great concern as water borne diseases are rampant in the poorer parts of the world claiming many lives specially of children. Water purifier is a necessity in most homes in these parts of the world.

Good quality water purifier will give water that is pure in all respects like physically, microbiologically and organically without any chances of being contaminated again. Installing a water purifier ensures that we get pure water right from the tap. Water purifiers are available in many sizes to cater to different needs.

Portable water purifiers have the lowest price. Other varieties are point of use purifier, purifiers for large buildings/houses or commercial organizations and cooler systems. The advanced purification technique of these systems tackles most of the harmful and toxic chemicals, metals and minerals, microbes and bacteria or virus.

Purifiers also use the reverse osmosis process. This is a very common method of water purification and can be used in small portable or camp purifiers as well as big systems in big houses or other places. The reverse osmosis membranes remove most of the harmful elements. They can also put up with extreme pH pressure without leaking or bursting. But for this durability, the system has to be manufactured with an eye on the quality.

Installing a water purifier is totally hassle free. Large manufacturers give the option of buying online and display their products with complete details. This is a boon for very busy persons who are unable to visit the store within stipulated hours.

After choosing the water purifier brand, all that remains is buying the system be it online or going over to the store physically and having it installed in the designated place.

Most manufacturers give warranties. In case of part replacement or breakdown, the service in most cases is prompt and up to the mark. Maintenance is equally easy without any headaches. Affordability is always a big issue, but most of the systems are very cost effective.

Water purification systems are a necessity not only for domestic purposes, but they are widely used in nursing homes, hospitals, and in research laboratories. All these places require pure clean water and only the very best systems are installed as there is no compromise when it comes to quality.

Tips on Drinking Water

We all know we need water. Water is important for our bodies, but it isn't always easy to keep track of how much you've drank or how to make it taste better so you'll want to drink it! The tips on drinking water below will help you with these problems.

Are You Drinking Enough Water?

You probably already know that it’s important to drink enough water. A minimum of eight glasses of water a day is recommended. You should aim for more if it is really hot, or you are working out and sweating a lot. Getting enough water in your body will prevent you from getting dehydrated. According to WEBMD the early signs of dehydration are increased thirst, dry mouth, sticky saliva and reduced urine output with dark yellow urine. You may also experience a lack of energy and a headache.
None of these sound very fun. I know it is hard sometimes to drink that much water; especially when sodas and coffee tempt us. However, to stay healthy and feel great, we should strive to drink those eight glasses of water a day.
Here are a few tips to help you remember to drink the water, and to make it a little more pleasant or interesting.

1. Keep a Log

This can be as simple as a little piece of paper on the fridge, or a page in your day planner. Just make a little checkmark, or dash on the piece of paper every time you drink a glass of water. The log will help you keep track of how much water you have had in any given day. You’ll also be surprised how motivating it is to try to get those eight little checkmarks on there every day. Another idea would be to use little stickers instead.

2. Add Some Lemon Juice

I tend to get bored with drinking just water after a few days. Change things up and add a little flavor by adding a teaspoon or less of lemon to your water. You can also try some other fruit juices. Just make sure you are still drinking mainly water. Just a splash of juice should be enough to make things interesting and give the water some flavor without adding a lot of sugar and calories.

3. Try Some Club Soda

If you are craving the fizz of a soda, try some Club Soda. Most brands have a little too much fizz for me. I end up watering them down with – guess what – water. If you want to get really fancy, check your local grocery store for flavored club sodas. Alternatively, you can also add a splash of fruit juice to your watered down club soda.

4. Drink Some Water When You Feel Hungry

Unfortunately many of us have gotten so out of tune with our bodies that we feel hungry when we are actually thirsty. If you feel hungry, try drinking a glass of water first. You may just be thirsty.

5. Carry A Water Bottle

It’s much easier to drink water when you have it readily available. Carry a bottle of water around with you in the car, at work, while running errands, in the yard, and even while you are working around the house. You’ll be sipping away the water without even noticing it.

6. Drink More If You Are Working Out

We already touched on this, but it bears repeating. Make sure you drink a few extra glasses of water if you work out, or if you spend some time outside while it’s hot. Your body uses and needs more water when it sweats a lot. So don’t forget to fill back up on water during and after your exercise.

Just pay attention to how much you drink and implement some of these ideas if you don’t get the recommended eight glasses of water a day. Your body will thank you for it in the long run.

Save Your Money With Tankless Water Heater

A water heater in the home is what heats the water you take a shower with, what you get hot water from to do your laundry and to do your dishes. If you find that, your water heater is on the frits, not making your water as hot as you like, or if your water heater is not going to meet the needs of your family you should look at the tankless water heater that is available. Some of the best new technology available has brought this new system to the world, so that you can heat water, as you need it without having to wait for it.

A tankless water heater is going to use less energy than other forms of heating water. If you already are heating your water with gas, electric or with coal from your current heating system, you are going to save money. A tankless water heater is going to save you from 10% to 50% of the cost of heating your water when you install and use a tankless water heater in your home.

A tankless water heater is going to heat the water instantly when you use it. The heater is going to run when the water turns on. The tankless water heater is not heating water when you are not using it. If you are doing loads of laundry and you are taking a shower, the tankless water heater can keep up with all the water usage. You can even adjust the tankless water heater to the temperature that you like the water to be at, which is going to save you even more money in the long run.

The tankless water heater is one that will take the place of that big tank in your basement or in the closet of your home. Another advantage, besides saving space, and saving on your hot water costs, is that you will not have trouble with the tankless water heater that some people have when their hot water tanks exploded and soak the home. If you have ever heard stories about a water tank exploded because of age or such, and water runs through the home, this tankless water heater is going to take some of that risk out of your home.

A great advantage to the tankless water heater is that if you are building an addition to your home, and you want to include a new bathroom you can include the tankless water heater inside the wall cavities, saving space, and saving on your water heating bill at the same time.

A water heater in the home is what heats the water you take a shower with, what you get hot water from to do your laundry and to do your dishes. If you find that, your water heater is on the frits, not making your water as hot as you like,

"Drinking Water Scams Revealed"

Read this article before you consider paying for your drinking
water.

Wouldn't it be nice to stop poisoning ourselves with polluted or
unhealthy drinking water? I, for one, felt that I would love to
find a source of safe inexpensive drinking water. (Ideally, I'd
love to turn on the tap, and out it would flow!)

Whether it's curing cancer with magnets or herbal wonder-
remedies or Vioxx, we've all seen the fantastic claims people
make about their health products AND about how your whole life
will be changed! I can tell you right now that 90% are frauds.
You may even have fallen prey to some of these scams, selling
you the latest fad. Me too. I've bought so many kinds of drinking
water, I can't recall. (If a lie is repeated often enough, it
becomes "the truth").

Finally, after many disappointments I got FED UP. I decided to
get to the bottom of this desire we all have to make sure that
our most basic nutrient -- water -- will keep us healthy, not
make us sick.

I checked out endless commercial websites and a number of
university and government sites; and I was dismayed at what I
repeatedly found:

--Outdated information or info repeated from other websites
--Wild and sensational claims
--No research
--No refunds, etc.

I already knew that we can't trust our tap water because of the
presence of up to 2000 contaminants.

Specifically, I found:

a) Bottled Water: a real mish-mash of quality, often no more
than filtered tap water sold at outrageous mark-ups and at
quite an environmental cost.

b) Reverse-osmosis and distilled water: completely ignored the
medical evidence of the dangers in the ongoing drinking of water
that is void of minerals, acid in nature and oxidizing.

I quickly realized that these products were either useless,
overpriced or potentially harmful long-term. And the companies
were smiling all the way to the bank.

Nevertheless I was able to find products that were well-
researched and legitimate: water ionizers and certain filters. I
found two websites providing comparisons of reliable water
purifiers: www.waterfiltercomparisons.net and
www.waterpurifier101.com. (While the first of these sites does
not address the problem of acidity in drinking water, it is
straightforward in its assessment of what various water filters
do.)

I hope that you're not misled by false claims, and take a look at
these resources, for the sake of your health.

Home water filter: Make your life more beautiful

Are you really concerned about the quality of water that is coming from your tap? If yes, then think of purchasing home water filter that can easily connect to your main water line. And the end result will be that each outlet in your house including the shower and bath will receive purified water.

But the million dollar question is that why there is need for home water filter when there is enough source of water. The answer lies in the quality of water that we drink. In the contemporary world, due to rapid industrialization, water has got polluted due to excessive drainage of industrial wastes into it. The harmful effects of water pollution can be seen in most of the countries across the world. Thousands of people of all ages are suffering from various kinds of water-borne diseases. Hundreds of people are dying after drinking impure water. Seeing the dreadful effects of water pollution, the home water treatment industry has responded by introducing a wide variety of home water treatment products into the market. When so many choices are available in the market, the consumers are bound to get confused. But my advice to all consumers who believe in sound health and quality, they should opt for all kinds of home water filter of Aquasana. The products of Aquasana are of highest quality and they are good in performance and all of them come with a lifetime warranty.

There are various kinds of home water filter available in the market like refrigerator water filter, pitcher filter, countertop water filter, faucet-mounted water filter, whole hose water filter, garden water filter etc. Faucet filter are designed to screw onto a faucet. They generally use an activated carbon or micro porous filter that traps impurities as water flows from the faucet. Shower water filters are specially designed faucet water filters meant for use on a shower head. Shower water filter removes chlorine from water and allows you to take bath to your heart’s content. Counter top water filters sit on your countertop by the sink and are connected by a hose to your water faucet. Most have a storage tank, and use both an activated carbon filter and a reverse osmosis filter to remove up to 99.9% of the contaminants in your tap water. Some countertop units even include a UV light source to disinfect water. Inline/undersink water filter uses a combination of methods including activated carbon filtering, reverse osmosis and ionization to filter water for impurities and soften it. Another important home water filter is the whole house water filter. It is connected to water line entering the home and generally has capacities to filter 10,000-100,000 gallons of water before you have to change the filter.

Why Is Water Distillation Best?

Water pollution has become a greater concern to people in the last decade. No longer are people taking their drinking water for granted. There is ever-increasing amount of industrial toxic waste and insufficiently treated sewage being pumped into our lakes and rivers. The tap water that we drink originates from these polluted lakes and rivers. We assume this water has been purified and that all contaminants have been removed at our local water treatment plant. However many harmful pullutants and water borne diseases are still present in our treated tap water.

According to the World Health Organization report, "a substantial portion of disease outbreaks can be attributed to deficiencies in drinking water disinfections".

Municipal water companies use as many as 47 different chemicals to clean wastewater. Chief among these is chlorine, known to create carcinogens by combining with other water borne pollutants and identified as a major cause of many degenerative diseases, especially of the cardiovascular system. Combine these chemicals with the liberal quantities of industrially produced toxic agents (asbestos, pesticides, heavy metals such as lead and cadmium, arsenic, nitrates, sodium, and a variety of other cancer-causing substances) in our water and it becomes no wonder that many cancer scientists point to our drinking water as responsible for the majority of human cancers. It has been shown to cause cancer in laboratory animals.

On August 25, 2004 a meeting of the American Chemical Society, Joel Pedersen, a Environmental Chemist who co-authored a paper, "Do Treatment Plants Effectively Remove Drugs, Hormones From Wastewater?" "Conventional wastewater treatment processes don't elimate pharmaceuticals and hormones resulting in low levels of these compounds into the environment," says Pedersen. He is also investigating what happens if infectious prion proteins-considered the cause of chronic wasting and mad cow disease-enter wastewater treatment plants from slaughter houses.

While a lot of people have turned to bottle water as a alternative (a lot of it being tap water-go to www.randi.org type in water in search box)as a lot of people are becoming dissatisfied with the quality, expense and inconvenience. Also the plastic toxins can leach into the water.

With POLAR BEAR WATER DISTILLERS the quality and purity of water produced does not deteriorate. It does not rely on physical barriers (filters)which deteriorate over time and can fail, letting contaminants through without the user realizing it. By vaporizing tap water, allowing it to move upward as steam and then condensing it back to water, distillation kills and removes harmful bacteria, viruses and inorganic minerals, and dangerous chemicals that make unhealthy, unsightly and unpleasant water to drink.

Dr. N.W. Walker, in his book, "Water Can Undermine Your Health", stated that he only recommended drinking steam-distilled water. He pointed out that beneficial minerals needed by your body are not "leached" out. Only useless built-up mineral deposits forming kidney stones, arthritic spurring, joint thickening and possibly heart valve deposits and arteriosclerosis are removed.

Dr. James F. Balch M.D. & Phyllis A. Balch, C.N.C. in there book "Prescription for Nutritional Healing", states, "We believe that only steam-distilled water should be consumed."

Dr. Michael Colgan PhD,CNC of Optimum Sports Nutrition says,"Far and away the cleanest water is produced by the new home distillers."

Last but by no means the least Dr. Paul C. Bragg & Dr. Patricia Bragg in their book, Water-The Shocking Truth-states "Distilled water is the world's best and purest water!"

Water Density

Water is the most important fluid on our planet the Earth. This can be termed as the elixir of life. Not only life is believed to be the birth place of life on this planet, it has supported all evolutionary processes, continues to support different forms of life and in many circumstances (floods, tsunami etc.) leads to destruction of life as well. In many ancient cultures the doomsday is described as destruction of everything by being submerged in deep water. Therefore, one can even look upon water as the famous Trinity of the God – Brahma (the Creator), Vishnu (the life supporter) and Mahesh (the Destroyer) – as described in Hindu philosophy of life. Scientific aspects of this wonderful fluid - like molecular structure and therefore, properties and their repercussions on life on this planet are truly amazing. So special is this fluid that it stirs the soft artistic corner of any individual; I should say every living being. Let us explore as what makes water so special.

Besides, water has another beautiful property in relation with aquatic life on the Earth. Water has its maximum density at 4oC. This leads to setting up of a convection current in large water bodies as temperature falls. Therefore, entire water body comes at 4oC before the top layer starts cooling further. Afterwards, the temperature keeps falling and ice forms on the surface as temperature falls to zero degree Celsius. This ice is also lighter than water at 4oC and therefore, an ice layer covers the water body from the top. As, water is insulator of heat, it stops further cooling of water even though the temperature outside may be well below zero. This condition is prevalent in the Polar Regions on this planet. But still, water continues to protect the aquatic life through time immemorial against the unbearably low temperature.

About Water Gardens

Once you have decided that you want to build a water garden in your garden or back yard you will need to make bigger and crucial decisions about how the whole thing is going to look, how are you going to make sure that each element you want in your water garden will be successful and help the entire water garden environment flourish.

As everyone knows there are many different water gardens, and from my experience most people already have some idea about the general look and theme they look for, but sometimes people are not educated enough to make the choices, some times home owners discover other, unknown water gardens after they that invested a lot of their energy, efforts and money into their existing water garden.

The basic idea in planning and even designing your own water garden is to have a lot of information before you even start imagining how its going to look and how much time you will spend in your new garden. Surf the internet and look for things you like, and things that you dislike. As you start seeing more and more internet sites, articles and photos start also paying attention to costs and maintenance costs and details as well. If you do your research correctly if will be very easy for you to make the right decision once the moment for that has come.

Two very different and always gorgeous basic concepts are the western water garden which can be mostly found in Europe and consists mainly of the water pond features and a matching garden on the same space, and the oriental, meaning mostly Japanese water garden which places a lot of importance of the whole look and harmony created between the space nature and men.

Although a lot of people have a very clear idea what they want and stick with their basic feelings, sometime one is fascinated by something completely different and changes his mind, the problem in that case is that if this person did not do his research he is going to need to recalculate the costs and start looking at the space differently, this is very significant in moving from a western European approach, which basically can match itself fairly easy to the average style of building, than to switch from the oriental approach to the European one.

Both of these popular water garden designing styles are beautiful and would make anyone feel great sitting in his or hers water garden to relax and reflect on things, read a book or take a nap, meditate or spend time with the family. It is clear that people have different needs and different passions, some want a fish free garden as others are mainly interested in fish, it is obvious that it is these needs that will dictate all that follows, costs and maintenance and the level of dedication to be involved in maintaining or even enlarging your water garden.

As with all other things a research will set you on your feet before you start shopping, like that you will also start a better chance of discovering different sales techniques and you will not be easy to convince going a different direction, this research will only do good things to your future water garden.

Whole house water filters

With the changing time water filters too have marked various changes, whether they are technology wise, added features or by any reason. But yes water filters have risen from the scratch and have made their own individuality. Now you can find various water filters matching your requirements. But whole house water filters have taken the water filter market with a stride. As now everyone is said to be proud owner of whole house water filters. They have proved to be the boon for the people living in the area where they continuously receive sandy and muddy water.

Whole house water filters are the best choice for the people affected with heavy sediment and contaminated water. It has been noticed that they not only restricts the sand and mud but also eliminates bacteria and germs. It is kind of a system through which you always get distilled and clean water wherever there is a tap. They are said to be pioneer in eliminating every kind of microbes and iron contamination. Whole house water filter system is embraced of one filter housing, one filter cartridge and a spanner wrench. They all contribute to make a perfect whole house water filter. Despite having numerous numbers of advantages still it is avoided by some due to its bulkiness and huge machinery. Generally it comes in very huge and heavy size as they have to cater the purification of whole house’s water. Apart from this they require continuous monitoring which sometime can prove very stressful.

By seeing this reluctance of acceptance nowadays many companies have introduced water filters divided into two components. In this system there are two separate machines installed at two different points in the house. This breakdown the whole system in two halves making the whole house water filters system easier. But still its popularity is not that high as it increases more monitoring and alertness. And most important it also increases the cost of repairing. This system is mechanically inclined and has also got the pressure button which alerts you when to change the filter in order to get pure and clean drinking water.

So if you have a big house, situated at a place where you frequently get the sandy and muddy water then simply go for this as they not only provide you clean and drinking water but also avoid all the water borne diseases.

In addition to avoiding tap water with chemicals, one must also be careful of softened, distilled, reverse osmosis or other over filtered water. These systems remove too many of the minerals. In turn, this water will leach minerals from your body and possibly leave you in a depleted condition.

Water Restores Your Health

Regardless of your current health status, drinking water can improve your body's and mind's ability to function and will help you reach and maintain a better health overall. Drinking a glass of water should be the first thing you do every morning and the last thing you do before you go to sleep every night. But most importantly, you should always remember to drink the adequate portions of water during the day as it is proved to be the best method in restoring your health.

Alternative health experts support that proper water consumption is the best method to improve your health condition and the easiest way to preserve an active body and mind. But how much water should you drink during the day? According to health specialists, a person should drink one quart of water for every 50 pounds of weight. With this being the case, if you weight 150 pounds you should drink 3 quarts of water daily. In addition, water consumption should be something you do without thinking it twice. Wherever you may be or whatever you may do, it is vital to remember that drinking water will assist your body to preserve the needed nutrients and vitamins, as well as help your kidneys and liver clear your blood. Getting rid of the harming toxins and other waste substances is a procedure your body completes 365 days a year. But in order to perform such a difficult task, your organs need your assistance. Numerous of your body functions, greatly depend on the level of water you daily consume. Thus, drinking the needed water quantities every day will help your body control the level of toxins in your blood. Detoxifying your organism will result in you reaching a better health state and feeling much better at the end of the day.

Not drinking enough water can result in severe health deterioration. Without getting into all the details, a simple example can illustrate this point. If your water consumption is limited for any reason, throughout any given day, your body does not have necessary fluid to fight all those hazardous substances you consume or inhale. So, it tries to pull water from where it can and distribute it to the places that need hydration the most. The most frequent source of water is your digestive system. Thus, in case water is extracted it leads to constipation, which you probably know that is not a good thing for your health or something pleasant for you to experience. But apart from the uncomfortable feeling, your body signals you that it does not have the necessary means to fight the toxins and poisons dumped into your digestive system, which begin to circulate causing ill health.

For this and many other reasons, it is imperative for you to drink your daily water quantities and not to deprive your body from any necessary fluids. The challenge for many people, who have realized how important it is for them to consume the required water portions, is to keep track of how much water they drink on a daily basis. Some have come with an easy plan of counting the glasses of water they drink, while others are measuring the needed water in advance, by pouring it into separate water containers each day. No matter which way works for you, it is vital for your current and future health status to remember drinking at least 8 glasses of water each and every day; even if you consume other fluids. Hydrating your organism is your responsibility. You probably know how awkward it is to have to explain to people why you need more than fifteen minutes to visit a bathroom. Drink water and next time you will have a healthier excuse why you have to go in there more often than usual.

Magnetic Water - Is It For Real?

In this article I will try to explain how magnetic water works. First, I’ll talk about whether water can be magnetised or not, then a quick review of the possible health benefits you can gain from drinking magnetic water and finally the easiest and most effective method to magnetize water.

Can water be magnetised?

Many of us understand our basic need to drink clean, healthy water. But what actually is healthy water, and why do we need it?

We are over 70% water. All our biological functions including circulation, digestion, absorption, and excretion depend on water. Water is required for blood, the lymphatic system, and healthy skin and muscles. Doctors, scientists, researchers and natural healers all agree that drinking enough water on a daily basis can help maintain good health and likely help fight disease. Most experts advise drinking at least a litre of water a day to assist in maintaining healthy skin and properly functioning kidneys, bowels, and circulation.

Water is Paramagnetic meaning that it holds a magnetic charge.
Paramagnetism occurs primarily in substances in which some or all of the individual atoms, ions, or molecules possess a permanent magnetic dipole moment. Water has a dipole moment and is, therefore, subject to paramagnetism. (At the University of Tokyo researchers were able to make water levitate using magnets (Source: NATURE . Ikezoe, N. Hirota, J. Nakagawa and K. Kitazawa, Making water levitate, Nature 393 (1998) 749-750).

Again, water molecules are dipolar. Since opposite electrical charges attract, water molecules tend to attract each other (Kegley and Andrews, 1998). Water in living systems naturally gathers into structures of 14, 17, 21, 196, 280, or more molecules (Mikesell, 1985; Davis, 2004). The bottom line is that structured or ionised or magnetised water can be formed using magnets (Mikesell, 1985).

There is a long history of the promotion of magnets to improve the quality and health benefits of water. Researchers found that when a permanent medical magnet is kept in contact with water, the water gets magnetically charged and acquires magnetic properties. Such magnetically treated water affects the human body when taken internally and regularly for a considerable period of time (Lam, 2001). Also, when water is magnetically treated, more hydroxyl (OH-) ions are created to form alkaline molecules, and reduce acidity. Normal water has a pH level of about 7, whereas magnetized water tends to be more alkaline.

Research has shown that it is possible to regenerate water to its original healthy state by magnetizing it. It is now clear that water has a very definite structure. A water molecule consists of two hydrogen atoms and an oxygen atom. Because of the electron configuration of the molecule the hydrogen atoms tend to attract other water molecules resulting in the formation of clusters which can contain anywhere from four to hundreds of water molecules each.

Some very exciting research done in Hungary has shown that these clusters actually have a memory and can remember and carry an imprint of the magnetic energy they have been exposed to either simply from the earth’s magnetic field or through flowing over paramagnetic rock. It is the fact that this memory is destroyed on the way to the tap which renders our drinking water lifeless. (Zhalko-Tytarenko, Olga, et al. Endogenous electromagnetic field influence on the free energy of hydrogen bond formation in water. 2nd Advanced Water Sciences Symposium, Dallas, Texas, October 4-6, 1996. Proceedings, pp. 23-27 ).

The health benefits of drinking magnetic water.

Magnetized water is claimed to be energy-building, activating, cleansing and detoxifying. There are reports of people resolving bladder problems, recovering quickly from a stroke, alleviating arthritis pain and reducing blood pressure by drinking magnetized water. It is perhaps reasonable to assume that if scientific studies on animals have proven that magnetized water has health benefits, then it should also be beneficial to humans. However, so far there have been no systematic, clinical trials done to prove or disprove the healing effects of magnetized water in humans. (Gursche, Siegfried and Rona, Zoltan. Encyclopedia of Natural Healing. Alive Publishing, Inc., Burnaby, Canada, 1997, pp. 400- 07 )

Here’s a list of all the claims of the potential benefits of drinking magnetic water:

- Magnetized water tastes sweeter and has more clarity.
- Magnetic water promotes a more alkaline pH in the body
- Magnetic water promotes healing of wounds and burns
- Magnetic water has a therapeutic effect on digestive, nervous and urinary systems
- Magnetic water may also be beneficial for fevers, sore throat, menstrual and menopause discomfort.
- Magnetic water revitalizes the body
- Magnetic water provides positive effect on the autonomic nervous system
- Magnetized water has been reported to help regulate the heart function and clear clogged arteries
- Magnetic water has been beneficial for kidney ailments, gout, obesity and premature aging
- Magnetic water may help relieve pain
- Magnetic water infuses energy into the body, controls bacteria, and stimulates brain function.

Whether these claims are true or false remains to be tested by science. It will be decades before the science of magnetized water is fully understood. Those in mainstream medicine may discount magnetized water as "quackery". That in the forefront of magnetic research paints a different story. If one understands and accepts that each of our cells possesses a small magnetic field, as many research studies are now supporting, the logical conclusion that magnetic water has the ability to affect our cells must be taken seriously.

The most efficient way to magnetise drinking water.

I promote using a bipolar magnetic water wand to magnetise water. It is a quick, efficient, simple and cost effective method. Here’s some more data about the water wand.

The magnetic water wand is 14cm (5¾ inch) long and looks like a pen with a ceramic ball at the end. The long lasting, lime scale resistant rhodium coating protects the 2 bipolar, magnets inside, totalling 2300 gauss (230 m Tesla). Because you are actually placing the magnets directly into the water the magnetic field penetrates the water extremely quickly. To magnetise a glass of water (200 - 250 ml), leave the magnetic wand for 10 to 15 minutes. and to magnetise a litre, I recommend leaving the magnetic water wand for an hour.

Remember, you don’t have to drink ONLY water. You can magnetise any cold fluid with the water wand!
